In addition, so as to improve their service to UK customers, ODU UK Ltd has introduced a new business model for 2017. They have re-structured to give a focus firmly at the front-end, whilst at the same time they have shortened their supply chain, with direct-ship and customer support now coming direct from corporate HQ in Muhldorf.
To assist this re-organisation, ODU distributors were asked to increase their support, so as to ensure that the maximum levels of UK customer service were retained during the operational change-over.
Long-term ODU distributors Selwyn Electronics Ltd, based in Sevenoaks, rose to this challenge and adopted a proactive approach to customer needs.
Now, following a review of the first six months performance, ODU UK Ltd has announced that they have a new 'primary partnership' agreement with Selwyn.
According to ODU's UK MD Nick Harper “Selwyn have embraced the opportunity and it's been a win-win for both companies. They've just had their best half-year for ODU product sales and are firmly on-track to have a record full-year. At the same time we've had great feed-back from customers about the service that they are providing. We look forward to building on our strengthened relationship with Selwyn to increase sales even further.”
Selwyn are equally enthusiastic about the new arrangement – Operations Director Kevin Wilson said “This partnership marks a new phase in our relationship with ODU and already both parties are seeing increased business as a direct result“.
Sales Director Chris Read adds “This deal gives us a heads-up on potential new business in partnership with ODU and encourages us to invest time and effort on joint activities aimed at gaining new sales on behalf of both companies – a great opportunity.”
